Hi everyone, we are back with another amazing juice recipe! We’re officially heading into the Florida summertime heat; you know, the glasses-fog-up-every-time-you-walk-outside heat, which means I spent my weekend playing with my Carico juicer putting together some of my go-to healthy ingredients to replicate one of my favorite cool-off drinks…the Piña Colada. Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean health and nutrition need to be tossed out the window, and I am fully committed to being that family member who shamelessly brings healthy alternatives to summer BBQ’s and celebrations!
To me, Piña Coladas are the equivalent of being on vacation, and this Piña Colada juice somehow makes me feel like I’m on vacation when I’m actually running full speed ahead (courtesy of this energizing juice, ha!) trying to catch the commuter train.
So, when you want to feel like you’re on an island getaway, but remember you still have bills to pay, or just want something a little more clean and natural in your summertime drink repertoir, try this fun and healthy alternative for your morning, afternoon, or evening! You can add protein powder or sparkling water—or if you really ARE on vacation, add your favorite rum to make this a real summertime drink!

PIÑA COLADA RECIPE
Supplies
– Carico Juicer
– Blender
Ingredients
– 1 Pineapple, Cubed
– 1 Can Coconut Milk (fat content up to you)
– 1 Banana (frozen or raw)
Optional
– Protein Powder
– Honey, Coconut Sugar, or Sweetener of Choice to Taste
– Sparkling Water
– Ice
– Rum
– 1/4 tsp coconut extract
Directions
1. Cut pineapple into chunks and place in your Carico Juicer in 3/4 cup increments.
2. Place lid on hopper, juice the pineapple, and repeat with remaining pineapple.
3. Pour pineapple juice, coconut milk, and banana into a blender and blend until smooth
Suggestions
1. For a thicker smoothie consistency, use a frozen banana and/or 1/2 cup to 1 cup ice.
2. For added energy and nutrients, add a scoop of your favorite protein powder or collagen.
3. For a refreshing twist, add 1/2 cup of sparkling water.
4. For a fun twist, add your favorite rum or alcohol of choice.
